Lumi is a portable assistant that uses AI to help people with visual impairments be more independent day to day.
I presented it at EUROINVENT 2026, the European Exhibition of Creativity and Innovation, where it received a Diploma of Excellence and I received the Youngest Inventors Award.
Building it taught me that the hardest part of assistive technology isn't the code, it's understanding the person who will use it.
